Photography
Your eye is the first camera. The camera is just an accessory between you and your subject.
Welcome to my online photo gallery.

Writing is my passion but photography is my joy. My approach to photography is colored by my background as an artist and interior designer. When I began writing full time, I switched from painting to photography. Photographic imagery inspires my writing and vice versa. Most days, I post a photo quote de jour at my blog. All images on this website were taken by me, except for most of the black and white images of me on the bio page.

The photographs featured here are organized by subject and are available for licensing. Archival quality prints are also available for purchase. I'm working on greeting card series which will be available in 2010.
All images in these galleries are watermarked and copyright protected.

Gallery #1 (Wabi Sabi)
Wabi Sabi is a Japanese esthetic philosophy that embraces the beauty of imperfection, impermanence and incompleteness. I love to photograph weathered, worn, cracked, peeling, broken and flawed man-made and natural objects. To me, they contain more 'soul' than factory fresh perfection.  I like things that hint at history and forgotten stories. Graffiti and handmade signs can communicate as powerfully as neon.
